The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told
Notice:  This play was produced under the umbrella of the Mercury Players' Theatre Company by Thomas McClurg (StageQ'sTM Artistic Director) prior to the formation of StageQTM.

The production of The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told set all-time attendance records for The Bartell theater with 2,001 people seeing the production!

With The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told, Paul Rudnick responds to religious fundamentalists who claim "God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve." Rudnick presents a world that begins with Adam and Steve and Jane and Mabel.

He follows their lives through time as they move from Creation to the first brunch. They experience the Flood, visit Pharaoh’s Egypt, and attend the Nativity. Their lives move to the present where they experience the wonders and pains of relationships.

In true Rudnick fashion (I Hate Hamlet, and Jeffrey), The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told is filled with laughs while moving us to consider Life and relationships with new perspectives.

Micheal Herman, Director, is new to Madison and recently acted in Angels in America. Thomas McClurg, who co-produced last year’s production of Jeffrey, is Producer.

Actors included: Collin Bernhardt, Nathan Caracter, Raun Norby, Gloria Wang, Marcy Weiland, David Smith, Trish Rensink, Mark Hatlen, and Jennifer Pluff.

Produced: February 1-17, 2001

Location: In the Drury Theatre of the Bartell.
