A
new play that dares to ask the
hard (and sometimes humorous)
questions surrounding Gay
Marriage, Heterosexual Marriage,
Civil Unions, Legal Contracts,
why YOU should care (or not),
and why some people are making a
big us about who says
"I do."
StageQ
plans to use theatre to address
the efforts to define marriage
in Wisconsin. A new play, Mommies Can’t Marry, will
premiere in January 2005 and
then travel out to cities around
the state.
“What can I do about the effort
to define marriage in
Wisconsin?” Like you, we are
troubled by the current move to
define marriage in the State of
Wisconsin and our nation. After
writing our legislators, we
asked what else we could do. Why
not write a play and take it to
the people of Wisconsin???
We need a team to assist with
coordinating performances and
travel, planning press releases
and newspapers ads, and finding
funding sources.
If you want to be involved,
please send contact information,
including the skills you can
contribute, to mommies@stageq.com. Please
forward this information widely.
