Nathan: Joshua

This is Nathan's second show
with StageQ and also the second "biblical" play he's been
in. Before Corpus Christi he was last seen in StageQ’s The
Sum of Us, Mercury Players The Most Fabulous Story Ever
Told, and First Banana Production’s Angels in America.
Nathan is an on again/off again Madison resident and after
completing high school studied theater in Iowa (who
knew!?). He would like to give thanks to Pete for giving
him a wonderful opportunity to be in this show; Carrie,
Miranda and Charlotte for their constant love and support,
the entire cast and crew of Corpus Christi for their
amazing talent and professionalism, and most of all, God,
without Whom this production would have never been
possible. Peace and love to you all and enjoy the show.

Jackson: James
(View Photo) |
When
Jackson first heard about auditions for Corpus Christi,
the "gay Jesus show," he could hardly wait. He felt it was
his perfect opportunity to piss off the far right and to
prove to my religiously domineering parents that Madison
was, indeed, as bad as they thought. However, when he saw
the story of Christ through Terence McNally's eyes,
working on the play was transforming experience for him.
“For the first time I have been able to see the figure of
Christ as someone accessible and familiar,” Jackson says.
“I saw Christ as someone that I could understand and that
would understand me. Someone that I could follow.” Thank
you to Stage Q for bringing this amazing show to Madison.
Thank you to Pete for being the most trusting and
inspiring director I've ever had the pleasure of working
with. Big love to our amazing cast, it is a privilege to
know each one of you. Most of all, thank you to my amazing
partner for all of your love, support and patience. I love
you, Baybee!

Paul: Bartholomew
(View Photo) |
Paul is excited to be making
his first appearance with StageQ. Originally from the
Kenosha area, he has been in Madison for five years. Most
recently he has been seen in Mercury Players' production
of Balm in Gilead, and as Peachy in Strollers Theatre’s production of The Last Night of Ballyhoo. Love
and thanks to his real life James for his patience and
support.

Will: James the Less
(View Photo) |
Will has
been acting since the days of yore. Sometimes he is deeply
committed to his art, and sometimes he acts like he just
doesn't care. He is interested in fresh vegetables, pretty
people, and peace and harmony among all nations and bodily
functions. Hakuna Matata.

Douglas: Peter
(View Photo) |
Douglas has recently been
seen as Tig in Mercury Players’ production of Balm in
Gilead, Harry in StageQ’s The Sum of Us, and Ansel in
Mercury Players’ production of Killer Joe. With Tara
Ayres, he also co-wrote Loving More for Mercury Players
this season. Thanks to my parents for giving me the
foundation of faith and the courage to stand up for what I
know is right. I long for the days when all love is
honored and respected.

Joshua: Thaddeus
(View Photo) |
This is Josh's debut at
StageQ. He is excited about playing the role of Thaddeus
in Corpus Christi. Josh attended North Central College in
Naperville, Illinois, where he studied broadcasting and
theater. Josh has been the voice of many local commercials
in Madison, so he may sound familiar to you. In Madison,
Josh has appeared in Broom Street Theater’s production of Judge and also played Carson Gulley in the 2003 Talking
Spirits Tour. You can also catch Josh mixing the best
drinks in Madison at one of the local establishments! Josh
would like to thank Steve and Pete for giving him the
opportunity to be part of the show. He would especially
like to thank his mother for all of the support during
this process.

Joshua: Thomas
(View Photo) |
Joshua was born in Spooner,
WI and took his first baby step to Eau Claire to study
theatre at the university. While in Eau Claire, he
appeared in several university, community, and traveling
productions including, A Doll's House, The Diary
of Anne Frank, Annie Get Your Gun, Medea,
and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
About five months ago, Joshua then moved to Madison and is
proud to claim Corpus Christi as his introduction
to the Madison stage. Many thanks are extended to his
family, a constant support despite every curveball he
throws at them.

Michael: Andrew
(View Photo) |
Michael has been seen in
regional and community theater around Wisconsin for the
last ten years. Favorite roles include Seymour in Little
Shop of Horrors and Rolf in The Sound of Music. Other

Panther, Cinderella and The Boyfriend. Special thanks to
Linda, Kara and Ricky.

George: John
(View Photo) |
George is an aspiring screenwriter and actor from NYC and
is extremely grateful to be performing once again on the
Madison stage. After two successful runs earlier this
season with Mercury Players' Balm in Gilead and Loving
More, he is very excited to be part of his first StageQ
production. He would like to thank two-time Best Actress
winner Martha De la Cruz, an inspiration, who drove him
mad enough to follow in her footsteps (I love you Mom),
and M.V., his biggest fan and the only person who can put
up with him, JOY.

Erik: Philip
(View Photo) |
"Third time's the charm". Corpus Christi marks the latest in a triad of StageQ
productions for Erik. Making his inception as Arthur Pape,
in StageQ’s production of Love! Valour! Compassion!, Erik
later took an offbeat comedic turn as Professor Fred Gable
in Q's most recent production of P.S. Your Cat Is Dead.
"It's great being part of casts that have respected
individual creativity, allowing each other to grow as
performers." A sincere, thank you, goes out to my brethren
of fellow actors, Pete Ryberg and his crew, my father, my
mother, my sisters, Tom McClurg; and all my "exs" and "ohs.”
