Front to Back, Left to Right: David Meldman (David); Bonnie Balke (Ma); Andy Jorishie (Arnold); Mark Gapen (Alan); Karl
Reinhardt (Ed) and Jennifer Maahs (Laurel).
Andy Jorishie (Arnold).
Andy is excited and honored to play the role of Arnold in Torch Song Trilogy. He was last seen in drag playing
Mercedes in the Madison Theatre Guild's production of La Cage
Aux Folles. Originally from Georgia, Andy began a career in
advertising in New York City, where he lived for 15 years. He
was recruited to Madison a year ago, and currently works for
Lindsay, Stone & Briggs. Andy trained with the Alliance
Theater in Atlanta, Georgia, and has appeared in a wide
variety of shows, including starring as Matt in The Fantasticks, Oliver!, Annie Get Your Gun!, Fiddler on
the Roof and Oklahoma. Andy is single and available, and
has a chihuahua named Dahling.
Karl Reinhardt (Ed). Karl
moved from Chicago to Madison last year, and is loving his
newly adopted hometown. Since arriving, he has appeared in Tales for a New Millennium and Judge at Broom
Street Theater, and in Bad Habits for
Strollers Theater. A graduate of the University of Illinois at
Chicago, he has recently been hired to teach English and work
within the theater department at Lodi High School.
Jennifer Maahs (Laurel). A Madison native, Jennifer has
performed with many community theatres in the area, including
Madison Theatre Guild, Strollers and CTM. She was also a
founding company member of First Banana Productions. She
studied theatre at UW Madison and UW Stevens Point. Favorite
roles include Agnes in Agnes of God, Madge in Pincic and Morgana
Le Fay in Aurthur. She is excited to be doing her
first show with Stage Q.
Mark Gapen (Alan). This
is Mark's debut with StageQ. He previously has worked in many
local shows, especially at Broom Street Theater where he made
a memorable (and
revealing) impression as Pinocchio in 69. Not to be
confused with his identical twin brother (who also acts), Mark
is happy to be playing a young stud getting all the attention.
And they call it acting!
David Meldman (David).
David is a Madison expatriate currently holed up in Milwaukee
where he's working on his B.F.A. in Film at the UW-M. Having
recently directed the critically praised by audience devoid Dangers of Tobacco by Anton Chekhov with The Travesties
Project, David's glad to be back on the other side of the
table, so to speak, with his second foray with StageQ after
having romped around the stage as Carl in Stay, Carl, Stay last summer. David aspires to be a screenwriter, experience
satori, and eventually move to the Northwoods.
Bonnie Balke (Ma) has been actively involved in the
Madison theatre scene since 1998 as an actor, director,
producer, and stage manager. Her most notable roles have been
Essie Miller in Madison Theatre Guild's production of Eugene
O'Neill's Ah, Wilderness! and The Cleaning Woman in MATC's
production of Stephen Schwartz's Working. She received her
training in theatre from Marquette University and Alverno
College in Milwaukee, and currently works as a Project Manager
and Music Engraver for A-R Editons in Madison. |
