Why We Have A Body - Production Team

Christina Martin-Wright (Director) holds a Master of Fine Arts in Directing and Dramaturgy from the Chicago College of the Performing Arts (at Roosevelt University) and a Bachelor’s degree in Acting from Northern Michigan University. She is a founding ensemble member of Chicago's Wing & Groove Theatre Company and proud to be the first female StageQ™ board member. Christina performed in and directed Killing Hilda and directed The Twilight of the Golds in StageQ’s inaugural season. Her directing credits include, but are not limited to, Plague of Innocence, Philadelphia Here I Come, Scrooge, Alabama Rain, and You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Christina is the Artistic Director of MadCAP Theatre with whom she will direct The Ice Wolf this winter. A special thanks to Bruce (and consequently, Seth Martin-Wright) for providing my body with the most sacred sense of purpose since that hot, dizzy night in June 2001.

Emily Kerr (Stage Manager/Sound operator) Emily is excited to be part of her second StageQ production. She recently was the Assistant Stage Manager for StageQ’s production of Torch Song Trilogy. Emily has a minor in Theatre Arts from the University of Wisconsin—Eau Claire. Some of her acting credits include The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Into the Woods, Tartuffe, and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Thanks to her wonderful wife, Monica, for all her support.

Kjerstie Johanson and Steve Howe (Sound Designers) have degrees in Music and Film, respectively, and boast a mind-boggling collection of rare, bizarre, and infinitely useful CDs. The dynamic duo are the proud parents of a new Dell computer, complete with CD burner and sound recognition software. Kjerstie is the Music Director for MadCAP Theatre where she was coerced by Martin-Wright into being the Sound Designer on this project.

Jessica Myrbo (Light Designer) is a UW-Madison physics major who may occasionally be seen sparkly-eyed at cast parties, discussing the Fate of the Universe. She has a particular affection for the six septillion kilograms commonly referred to as "Earth" and the critters that inhabit it, particularly people. Her previous magic includes lighting operations for Jeffrey and lighting designs for StageQ’s productions of Two Stories of Dating Hell, The Twilight of the Golds, The Eight: Reindeer Monologues, and Gertrude Stein and A Companion. Jessica, where would StageQ be without you???

Micheal Herman (Light operator) shares his technical assistance with this production, although he is usually seen on stage or is the brilliant mind behind a production. Micheal directed Mercury’s The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told and has acted with almost every theatre company in town, including First Banana’s production of Angels in America. He is directing StageQ’s spring production The Sum of Us.
