The New
Harvest Foundation Board of Directors has voted to award
StageQ™ a grant for partial funding of The Twilight of the
Golds. An unprecedented 18 applications, requesting more
than $36,000, were received. StageQ's™ grant was one of nine
awards funded in the organization's second cycle of grants for
the calendar year.
The New
Harvest Foundation is a nonprofit benevolent and educational
organization incorporated in 1984 under Wisconsin law. Its
mission is to raise and distribute funds to benefit gay,
lesbian, and bisexual causes. Since its beginning, the
Foundation has given over $250,000 in needed funding to over
50 organizations or programs, primarily in the Dane County
area.
These
grants have fallen into several broad areas of community
concern:
- Advocating
the civil rights of gays and lesbians.
- Achieving
public understanding of the community.
- Assisting
parents and youth with personal concerns.
- Maintaining
health and caring for the ill.
- Dealing
with problems related to sexual identity and
relationships.
- Supporting
creative expression through the arts and writing.
The New
Harvest Foundation received financial support from many
donors, most of whom contribute under a periodic pledge
system. One-time gifts and bequests are also received. New
Harvest is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization under the U.S.
Internal Revenue Code. All donations are fully tax deductible.
