Doug Reed grew up in Richmond, VA. He received a B.A. in theater from Goshen College. Doug is married to Deanna Reed (who recently directed Mercury Players' revival of
Temp Slave), and is the father of two wonderful kids: Ilsa and Laszlo. Doug is the author of several one-act plays, and recently finished his first full-length play,
Farther Along, a rant about the 2000 election. Doug is also ranked as one of Wisconsin's worst tournament chess players, and regularly has his clock cleaned by 11 year-olds.
