Play
submissions
Writers may submit plays in printed or electronic
versions.
- Printed copies should be sent to our mailing address: StageQ,
PO Box 8876, Madison, WI
53708-8876.
- Electronic
versions may be sent to artisticdirector@stageq.com.
Every script must be
accompanied by a one-page précis, including:
- One-paragraph description
of the plot
- Casting requirements
(number of actors, gender, ages, special
requirements, if any)
- Set requirements
- Running time
- Special technical
requirements, if any
- Who is the intended
audience
- Is there lesbian, gay or
other queer content?
- Is there nudity? Adult
language?
Plays are not
returned unless you provide stamped envelopes.
Plays are read with six months after submission,
however season selections are made annually so that
submitted plays may not be considered for one or two
years.
