Happy New Year, Jimmy!

THE JOB: Jimmy lost his job today. It wasn’t his fault; just one of those…twists of fate.

THE GIRLFRIEND: Jimmy’s girlfriend is leaving him today, for another guy. “It’s not you…it’s me!”

THE AUNT: Jimmy’s rich aunt is threatening to cut him out of her will. So long, security!

THE APARTMENT: Jimmy’s apartment has been robbed twice in the last month. He’s not insured.

THE BOOK: In one of the robberies, Jimmy lost the only copy of the book he was writing. Ten months of writing…down the tubes.

THE CAT: Oh, that’s right! Jimmy’s cat has a bladder infection that turned out to be something, uh, a little more serious, and, well…the cat’s dead.
